~Me & Keri~

Keri and I are only 14 months apart in age, so we dressed alike when we were little. Anyway, I came across a picture of us when we were probably 2 & 3 years old that reminded me of Marlee & Maggie. Now, don't be jealous of the blue "fur" coats...we all probably had something similar...I would have personally picked pink, but whatever. Isn't it amazing how much we look like the girls?@?

Rambles

Okay, I know that you all are thinking that you are tired as well, but have you ever gotten to the point that you are tired of being tired??? I wish that I could just feel like my old self just ready to go at a moments notice. Then the reality sets in that you can never just load up easily and go with 4 kiddos in tow. :-)))

We have a meeting at the school in the morning to discuss placement for Keely. Hopefully it will go well and she will be able to go on to the 4th grade. She didn't pass either of the TAKS test this year, so that will defiantly be a factor, but I don't feel as though she should be punished by being held back when her brain doesn't work like others her age. She would be devastated. We want to do what is best for her, but holding her back a year when in most subjects she is at least 2-3 years behind would not help. She needs to have more one on one time and everything given to her orally, so possible she could remember more. It has been difficult in the past to get everyone on the right page, but now I feel like that with the recent test that were done we can all move forward in making sure she is able to get the absolute best education possible for her.

On another note....VBS is just around the corner. Carri and I will be doing crafts with the kiddos. I can't wait!! In years past I have done singing and games at our old church, so I thought this might be a neat change.

Eric's family had a get-together this past weekend that was SO MUCH FUN!!! They had a blow up jumper and pool for the kids to play in, as well as, a cotton candy & popcorn machine. We all had such a great time visiting and taking pictures. I can't believe how big all of the kiddos are getting.

So, I now think I have rambled on long enough...talk to ya soon!

Good Morning, Good Afternoon & Good Evening

BLAH...BLAH...BLAH!!! Too much junk to go into, so I'll just start with this:
I got the most wonderful e-mail from a friend of mine today that I don't talk to all of the time, but love dearly. She was so sweet and you all know how sometimes we just want to hear a kind word about us. It really made my day!

So, here's the thing I didn't fall off the face of the earth, but the reality of having twin 2 year olds has sat in and I find myself trying to just contain them or better yet clean up the messes they have already made. When I say they keep me hoppin' I mean truly HOPPIN'!! I feel like all I do is organize and re-organize everything constantly. But I have to say they are absolutely hilarious!! Marlee will say anything you say and Maggie told me today with purse in hand that she was going shopping..."bye mommy I go shopping".

Eric will soon be working out of town again and I have really been trying to be supportive, but this time I can honestly say I am just mad. I am mad that I have to do it all by myself with the kids....I don't usually speak of him leaving like this, but the more he is home the more I want him here all of the time!!

Tyler is anxiously waiting for school to be out and then he will be heading to the Middle School where I am scared to death for him to be...not because it is so horrible, but it just means that he is growing up and that is hard for me to swallow.

Keely has about 5 more weeks of school and even though she doesn't remember going to summer school in years past we have to keep reminding her that this is just to help her not forget everything over the summer. I haven't posted since we got the results from her last MRI. We learned that she has a part of her frontal lobe that is "grossly underdeveloped" which explains why no matter how many times we have her write things down she forgets them. She is an auditory learner. Anyway she is fine...same old Keely. She turned 10 a week ago today and all she wanted for her birthday was to spend the day with me. Which is good and bad...she can't continue to have an unhealthy tie to me all of the time, but as her Momma I want to give her those few things that make her truly happy.

Where is the instruction manual I ordered on parenting???

As for me I am busy teaching the 2 yr olds with Amanda on Sunday mornings, the 3, 4 & 5 yr olds with Carri on Wednesdays, leading a bible study on Monday Nights & on the Woman's Committee....I LOVE IT!!! I have not been so fulfilled in so many years. I stay busy all of the time, but it is so worth it. Praise God for giving me the opportunity to be able to serve in this way.
