~Potty Training~

It is so hard for me to believe that the girls are now old enough to be potty training. Marlee has been telling us "I go potty" for a long time, but I honestly wasn't ready to buckle down and do it. Last Friday we used our last diaper....this was a perfect time for us to go ahead with the whole "potty training thing". Anyway, they have done really well. Marlee hasn't had any accidents where as Miss Maggie May is still having some issues. Her stomach is a lot like mine, so I really don't think that it is intentional, but who knows?? We set up 2 potty chairs in the living room and that really seems to work great!

Tyler is away right now at Church Camp....he normally loves it, but this year is a little homesick. He called this evening and said that he really missed all of us and even wanted to talk to Keely on the phone. He will be back on Saturday.

Keely has just a little over a week left of summer school. I think at this point it is so routine for her that she doesn't even really think much about it. She will be going to camp with Keri later this summer....I am so greatful that Sis is going, so that Keely Girl could go as well.

Eric is STILL out of town and believe you me every day seems to be getting longer and longer waiting for him to come home.

Then of course there is the laundry issue....that stinkin' "laundry fairy" still hasn't arrived at my house to take care of the mounds of comforters, blankets & sheets that I washed earlier in the week. I left it all out for her,but I guess she has forgotten where I live.

~Wild Weekend~

This was a crazy weekend. We ended a wonderful week of VBS...very tiring but absolutely worth every minute. A sweet friend of mine had to leave to go down to see her dying Grandma, which was just heart breaking....you just want to be there for someone when they are going through such a horrible time. Then an all day trip to the hospital on Saturday with Marlee was the icing on the cake to top off a crazy weekend.

Saturday morning started out like any other day....laundry & cleaning. I had laid out Keely's medicine for her to take and Marlee ended up taking 2 of the pills! One was her seizure med and the other was a blood pressure medicine that she takes for tremors. I was frantic!! After calling Poison Control and Keely's doctor it was best that Marlee be taken in for heart monitoring. She was such the trooper...she had to drink the charcoal to absorb some of the medicine. She would take a deep breathe and then drink as much of it as she could. (She is still pooping that black stuff!) After a couple of hours in the ER the doctors decided that she needed to be moved to PedICU for observation, but then she was released at 8:00 PM that evening with a clean bill of health. She is doing just fine. The other big event for that day was that Eric's brother was getting married that evening and Eric was the "Best Man", so he needed to be there as well. And of course we were fine, so we sent him on his way with the hopes of lots of great pictures for us to see everything. I almost forgot...I was having the cakes done for the wedding...YIKES!!! Thanks to Debra, Candy, Quentin & Amanda the cakes were delivered and everything turned out great...WOW....what a crazy weekend.
